  • What are the payment methods?
    We accept payments through credit cards and bank transfers. After confirming the reservation, a 30% deposit is required, and the remaining balance must be paid 14 days before the commencement of the journey. - For credit card payments, in accordance with Taiwan bank policies, only payments in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) are accepted. The quoted amount in USD will be converted to NTD based on the exchange rate on the payment date. - For bank transfer payments, you can use the local currency, and the amount will be converted based on the exchange rate on the payment date.
  • What if I initiate cancellation?
    We understand that unexpected events such as being sick or ill can change the best laid plans and in light of that we have a flexible cancellation policy. - Before 15 days prior to trip departure: 5% of your total tour price will be forfeited. - Less than 14 days prior to trip departure: 50% of your total tour price will be forfeited. - After trip departure – no refund.
  • What does the travel insurance cover?
    Our quotation has included the basic travel insurance. According to the regulations of the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, travel agencies are required to provide "Travel Industry Liability Insurance" for each traveler. The insurance coverage includes a compensation of up to 2 million New Taiwan Dollars for accidental death and a maximum of 100,000 New Taiwan Dollars for accidental medical expenses.
  • What will my tour guide be like?
    Our professional tour guides are all fluent in English, Mandarin or other languages. They all have legal license and ready to share their knowledge and stories of local history and culture with you. Aside from their life experience, they are also passionate about sharing the beauty of Taiwan.
  • What kind of assistance can I expect from the tour guide of Taiwan?
    As it is a customized private tour, the travel itinerary can be flexible. After we have arranged the itinerary for you, you can discuss with the guide about adding or removing attractions, provided that the accommodation dates and locations remain unchanged. The guide will also offer suggestions for the itinerary and restaurants.
  • Is there a tipping culture in Taiwan?How should I appropriately pay tips?
    The tour price covers tips for porters and restaurant waiting staff. However, tips for your guides and drivers are typically not included in the tour price. While tipping is ultimately at your discretion, our travelers frequently seek advice on how to tip their Taiwanese hosts. To assist you with this, we have provided our recommendations below. - Gratuities for your guide: USD$10 - USD$15 per person per day - Gratuities for your driver: USD$5 - USD$10 per person per day
  • What are possible expenses and costs in the tour? How much will the guests need to bring?
    There are a few optional activities or possible costs during the tour. For example, if meals are not included in the price, places like night markets, where guests are expected to pay for their own food. Food in night markets tends to be pretty cheap. NT$ 300~500 ( US $10~15 ) is generally enough for experiencing delicious food. Generally, all the admission fees and hotel breakfast are included in the price, you only need to consider meals expenses (lunch and dinner).
  • Why do I need to provide my passport information when booking a tour?
    In addition to having an amazing time with us, you’ll also have an experience fully covered by travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal accident coverage, accidental death, and disability. Your passport information is required by Taiwan law for insurance purposes.
